Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer focused on rubber molding. You will own rubber molding processes, drive data-driven improvements, reduce scrap, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities include leading trials, validations, equipment changes, and developing process documentation while supporting Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 2+ years in process/manufacturing engineering or related roles.
• Experience improving manufacturing performance via scrap reduction and data-driven decisions.
• Experience leading improvement projects involving manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, automation, validation or capital improvements.
• Knowledge of engineering and quality tools such as SPC, DOE, process validation, capability analysis, control plans, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Own specified rubber molding processes as the technical expert.
• Reduce scrap, defects, downtime, and variation using data analysis and root cause investigation.
• Improve cycle time, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency while upholding safety and quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, materials, and processes with cross‑functional teams.
• Lead trials, validations, equipment modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support evaluation and startup of new equipment, process technologies, automation, and manufacturing improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard work, control plans, and technical knowledge with Lean culture.
