Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Bristol, NH is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer focused on rubber molding to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement in a high-volume environment. You will support process validation, data-driven decisions, and cross-functional project leadership to reduce scrap and improve overall manufacturing performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, and Lean Six

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Two or more years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, molding engineering, or a related manufacturing role.
  • Demonstrated success improving manufacturing performance through scrap reduction, process optimization, cost reduction, root cause problem solving, and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience leading process improvement projects involving manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, automation, validation activities, or capital improvements.
  • Working knowledge of engineering and quality tools such as SPC, DOE, process validation, capability analysis, control plans, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience with rubber, elastomer, plastics, injection molding, compression molding, transfer molding, automotive, medical device, or other high-volume manufacturing environments preferred, including an understanding of molding process fundamentals and manufacturing performance drivers.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, Cobots, manufacturing technologies, quality management systems, and continuous improvement initiatives preferred; ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams through technical expertise and project leadership.
