Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies in Findlay, OH is seeking a Lean Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives. You will partner with the Lean Manager and cross-functional teams to drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity improvements on the shop floor.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field and 2+ years in lean manufacturing, with hands-on experience in 5S, Kaizen and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement.
• Experience with Lean tools: 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, VSM, Visual Management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven mindset.
• Experience leading projects or process improvements in manufacturing.
• Excellent communication across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Excel; Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Lean Manager and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead Kaizen events and process-improvement projects that reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain standardized work, visual management, and 5S practices.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and maintenance to optimize workflows.
• Track improvement project progress and KPIs to ensure sustainable results.
• Coach and engage employees in Lean thinking and problem-solving.
