We are a small family owned business located in Macedon NY just over the Monroe/Wayne County line. The company focuses on custom engineered rubber components that support customers’ performance, durability, and cost goals. In addition to producing new rollers, J.J. Short Associates, Inc. reconditions and recovers used rubber rollers for printing, mechanical, and other specialty applications.
This position is a full-time, on-site role based in Macedon, NY. Overtime is possible. No weekends. 4-10 hour shifts with Fridays off unless overtime is approved.
This is an ENTRY LEVEL position ideal for recent high school or college graduate needing a regular paycheck and willing to work 40 hours a week, and more if needed. Also open to retired persons looking to get out of the house and would consider less than full-time but no less than 24 hours a week.

This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring rubber molding presses to produce parts and rollers according to specifications and production schedules. Daily tasks include preparing molds and materials, loading and unloading presses, performing visual and dimensional inspections, and documenting production data. The operator collaborates with team members to meet quality and safety standards, identifies and reports equipment or process issues, and assists with basic machine maintenance and cleanup. The position may also support roller-related operations, such as handling components used in printing and mechanical applications.
