ContiTech USA, Inc. in Mount Pleasant, IA, USA, is seeking a Product Development - Rubber Material Process Engineer to support compound mixing and hose production by developing and optimizing rubber material processes for product development.

You will lead industrialization efforts for new rubber mix centers, analyze and improve manufacturing processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet material requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience with product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with rubber material processing standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new rubber mix center in Mount Pleasant
• Lead the industrialization and optimization of rubber material processes for new and existing hoses products
• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and production efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate rubber material requirements into product designs
• Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate and industrialize rubber material properties and performance
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical reports
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in rubber material technology and processing techniques
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in rubber material processing
• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams and other stakeholders
