Job summary

UTEX Industries Inc. in Conroe, Texas, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support rubber manufacturing quality control on site. The role includes routine testing, sample preparation, result documentation, and collaboration with engineers and chemists.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 yrs of experience in rubber manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 yrs in inspection or material lab testing.
• Must be able to read and interpret MTRs (Material Test Reports) and COCs (Certificates of Conformance).
• Perform routine laboratory tests and inspections according to established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, label, and maintain test samples and laboratory materials.
• Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory documentation.
• Assist with product qualification, validation, and quality assurance testing.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Monitor and report test results, abnormalities, or equipment issues.
• Follow all laboratory safety standards, company policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Assist engineers, chemists, and quality personnel with special projects and investigations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
