Job summary

UTEX Industries is hiring a Laboratory Technician to support quality testing and material inspections at our Weimar facility. This hands-on role ensures our sealing, packing, and molded products meet internal standards and customer specifications.

You will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating lab equipment and recording results with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable around lab chemicals, heat, and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate lab and rubber processing equipment (mills, presses, tensometer, rheometer).
• Prepare test samples for evaluation and approval processes.
• Perform daily quality control testing and inspections.
• Verify materials meet required specifications.
• Record accurate test results in quality databases and logs.
• Generate certificates of analysis (COAs) and test reports.
• Assist with first-article inspections (FAIs).
• Participate in root cause investigations and process improvements.
• Communicate results to engineering and production teams.
• Follow all safety, PPE, and lab handling procedures.
