Job summary

SI Group is seeking an Associate Chemist in Houston, TX to perform complex laboratory operations and contribute to chemical research, analytical testing, and application development under minimal supervision.

You will support customers with technical solutions, maintain lab records, and operate instruments like Rheometers and DMA. A BS in a physical science is required with 2+ years in industry.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or any physical sciences with related industrial experience.
• Experience in rubber and/or adhesives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex laboratory operations with minimal supervision.
• Supports internal and external customers by providing technical solutions.
• Maintains lab records and ensures data integrity.
• Operates rubber testing instrumentation such as Rheometers and other physical testing equipment.
