Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking RT Level II Technicians for field work in the Birmingham, AL area with up to 90% travel. The role covers diverse environments including Petro-Chem, refineries, pipelines and industrial plants.

Candidates should hold RT Level II certification and have substantial NDT experience. High school or equivalent is required; some college is preferred and relocation/travel benefits apply.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college coursework is preferred.
• CR/DR Level II RT certification is a plus.
• Strong technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to interpret inspection results and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Develop examination techniques ensuring safety compliance.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs or digital readouts and report results.
• Organize and report test findings accurately.
• Perform specialized inspections as required.
• May supervise others and support management.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for RT Level II Technicians to support operations in Birmingham AL and surrounding areas.THIS WILL BE A CALLOUT/TRAVEL POSITION.

Successful candidates must be able to travel up to 90% throughout Augusta GAand surrounding areas. (The environments will be Corn/Agricultural, Petro-Chem, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Gas Plants, Refineries, Pipelines and Pharmaceuticals.)

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II RT (CR/DR a plus)

• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
