Job summary

Acuren is seeking RT Level II Technicians to support our operations in Akron, OH and surrounding areas. This callout/travel position requires the ability to travel up to 90% across Akron and surrounding areas, including pipeline and fab shop environments.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, performing tests to detect defects, interpreting radiographs, organizing reports, and potentially supervising others.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II certification in RT is required or preferred.
• Experience interpreting radiographs, CRT, or digital readouts is important.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment and inspection procedures.

• Perform specialized inspections.
• May instruct and supervise others.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

THIS IS A CALLOUT/TRAVEL POSITION.

Successful candidates must be able to travel up to 90% throughout Akron, OH and surrounding areas (Environments will be Pipeline & Fab Shop.)

• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• NDT Level II Certification in RT
• Preference will be given to candidates with CR/DR experience/certification
• Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) or applicable agreement state card
• Additional NDT certifications would be considered an asset
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
