Job summary

Acuren is seeking a dedicated RT Assistant to support nondestructive testing activities and calibration of NDT equipment. You will assist Radiographers, help perform inspections for quality control, and maintain accurate records of results.

The role requires a high school diploma, with some college preferred and a technical background. A background check and clean driving record are required for eligibility, with duties including equipment transport and compliant work practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred to support duties.
• Technical background desired for NDT tasks.
• Candidate must be able to pass a background check for Trustworthy & Reliable status per regulations.
• Must have driving record that meets company standards for vehicle use.

Responsibilities

• Set up and use Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to perform tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Record results of inspections accurately.
• Assist performing NDT procedures and carry equipment as needed.
• Perform other job tasks as assigned by management.

RT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
