Job summary

Lactalis USA is hiring an RSPC Supervisor based in Nampa, ID. The role leads a team of operators, ensuring safe, efficient processing of raw materials into finished dairy products while meeting quality, regulatory, and production targets.

The successful candidate will manage inventory, coordinate with maintenance and quality teams, and drive improvements in efficiency and cost control. A 12-hour rotating schedule and strong dairy process knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Business Administration, Food Science or Related Field).
• 3+ years of food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word/Excel/PP), SAP/MTI, SAP/LIS, SAP/Maintenance, SAP/BI-Reporting, OEE, Mini-Tab, and Quality Companion
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to obtain pasteurizer operator license within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge of main dairy process equipment (HTST, Separator, membrane systems, CIP, mechanical, electrical, and associated control systems) is required.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement systems (Lean, Six Sigma, 5M, Pareto, PDCA...)
• Knowledge of FDA and USDA Regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours depending on business needs (the schedule is expected to be 12 hours rotating).
• 3 - 4 years dairy and/or supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform department production status checks daily and manage inventory control and CIP to keep the plant supplied with ingredients within regulations.
• Promote and support employee teamwork to achieve high performance and morale.
• Assign and communicate duties to maintain housekeeping, equipment, and regulatory standards.
• Perform administrative managerial duties accurately and timely.
• Maintain employee files (attendance, discipline, etc.).
• Develop ways to improve and streamline the process to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with maintenance on equipment issues to ensure reliable operation.
• Ensure product quality and quantity meet specifications; uphold department integrity.
• Enforce health and safety rules and PPE usage.
• Oversee reception of raw materials (e.g., milk) including sampling and testing.
• Oversee milk processing steps (skimming, pasteurization, concentration) for optimal operation and schedules.
• Monitor critical control points to ensure food safety and quality standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely output.
• Lead, train, and mentor RSPC operators; ensure proper procedures and safety.
• Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to optimize resource use.
• Address deviations from quality standards and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production records including batch reports and maintenance logs.
• Lead multiple continuous improvement and action plans.
• Monitor milk schedule and coordinate between supplier and plant production.
