Position Summary

The CDL Driver will be responsible for driving chassis/trucks carrying Rosenbauer products and delivering completed trucks. They will conduct PMCS of the vehicles, relay repair information, inspect and document new trucks in a computer system, and report any deficiencies.

Essential Functions

• Drive chassis/trucks carrying Rosenbauer products and deliver completed vehicles.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS) and report any repair needs.
• Inspect, document new trucks in the computer system and report deficiencies.
• Deliver non‑completed Rosenbauer vehicles between campuses.
• Operate trucks into towns for external work and pick up completed trucks.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge: High school diploma or GED required; Class A CDL with medical card required; 6 months of CDL driving experience preferred; ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions; clean driving record.
• Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating manuals; ability to work with or learn an E‑log system.
• Abilities: Professional interaction with customers, senior management, and vendors; willingness to travel 90‑100%; follow written and verbal directions with a positive attitude; adherence to safety policies; strong attendance and punctuality; motivation; time‑management; ability to work independently or in a team.

Other Qualifications

• Class A CDL with medical card.
• Own vehicle acceptable.
• Availability for occasional evenings or weekends.
• Travel within SD, MN, NE and home every night.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

The role requires occasional lifting up to 100+ lbs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, working at heights, operating near moving mechanical parts, and exposure to hazardous chemicals. Workers must wear PPE including safety boots, safety glasses, cut‑resistant gloves, respirator, and face shield.
