Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide expert care for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions in a hospital setting. You will assess, treat, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapies, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.

The role emphasizes ventilator management, ABG sampling, infection control, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment in Millersburg, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Current state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, if required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent hospital, ICU, NICU, PICU, emergency department, or acute care respiratory therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory therapies.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and other respiratory equipment.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, pulmonary function testing, and other diagnostic procedures as assigned.
• Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and disease management.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
