Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced setting. The therapist will perform assessments, deliver therapies, and monitor patients on ventilation as part of a dedicated team.

The role requires NBRC-RRT certification and state licensure, with BCLS completion within 30 days of starting. Excellent patient care and teamwork are essential across the cardiovascular and spine care services.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• RRT/RC-state licensure or equivalent.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessment including breath sounds and airway patency.
• Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosolized meds, chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airways placement and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient response and notify provider if intervention is needed.
• Transport ventilator-dependent patients as required.
• Respond to emergent situations ensuring airway integrity during resuscitations.
