Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide patient-centered respiratory care across the department. The role involves performing diagnostic tests, delivering therapies, and assisting with ventilated patients per state and specialty standards.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring high-quality care. The position requires NBRC-RRT certification and state licensure, with BCLS obtained within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification
• State-licensed RRT/RCP
• BCLS training required within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment including breath sounds and airway patency.
• Administer respiratory therapies: oxygen, aerosol meds, chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor therapeutic responses and alert providers as needed.
• Transport ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure airway integrity during resuscitation.
