Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals in Frisco, TX, seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to guide patients through routine and critical care. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation and airway support, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care.

In this role you’ll educate patients and families, ensure equipment readiness, and participate in infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) is required.
• RRT/RCP-State credential required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine the need for interventions.
• Deliver oxygen, aerosolized medications, airway clearance, and other therapies across settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation, with monitoring.
• Educate patients and families; serve as a clinical resource; assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain equipment, ensure readiness and infection-prevention standards, and transport ventilated patients safely.
