Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an RRT Respiratory Care Practitioner I to join the Respiratory Care department at BHMC‑Hot Spring County. This PRN role requires 12‑hour shifts with days or nights, delivering patient assessments, treatments, and tests under physician orders and established protocols.

You will document patient responses, participate in quality improvement, and meet the education and certification standards listed by the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• 0-2 years of experience as a respiratory therapist.
• RRT, LRCP, and BLS certifications; PALS & NRP may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and test patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction per orders and protocols.
• Document patient responses and outcomes; apply clinical expertise to improve care quality.

Summary:
The Respiratory Care Practitioner must consistently meet or exceed customer expectations by assessing, treating, and/or testing patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction per physician orders and protocols. They must document patient responses to such and integrate clinical expertise to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes.

Other information:

1. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
2. EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years of experience or greater as a respiratory therapist
3. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP), and Basic Life Support Provider (BLS). Prefer PALS & NRP.ACLS may be required depending on the assigned department.
