Job summary

Mercy is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver expert respiratory care in inpatient settings. You will work as part of a collaborative team to implement treatment plans and ensure patient comfort.

You will administer therapies, assess patients, educate families, participate in rounds, document care, and maintain respiratory equipment while staying current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies per physician orders
• Assess patient conditions and recommend interventions
• Support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care
• Participate in rounds and care planning
• Document care accurately and ensure regulatory compliance
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment
• Serve as a clinical resource, preceptor, and mentor
• Stay current on evidence-based practices and advancements
