Job summary

Mercy in Guthrie, OK is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care across all respiratory therapies under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a key resource for the medical team.

The role emphasizes adherence to licensure requirements (RCP) and NBRC RRT credentialing, with ACLS preferred. No prior experience is required, but you will work with a variety of respiratory care devices and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC. For ER coworkers, PALS is required.
• Other: ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
