Job summary

Mercy is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for respiratory care with nurses and physicians.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid in four installments, shifts totaling 36 hours per week, and benefits for staff working 32+ hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC.
• ACLS is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
