Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking an RRH Housing Advocate to connect individuals and families experiencing homelessness with housing options and short-term rental subsidies in partnership with SEPH. You will assist clients through housing search, applications, and lease-up, delivering short-term case management to promote stability and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
• Social work licensure in the appropriate jurisdiction required.
• Professional counseling licensure in appropriate jurisdiction required.
• Two years’ experience with vulnerable populations, particularly with clients who have a mental illness, substance abuse history, homelessness, or domestic violence survivors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals with Montgomery County Housing Locators and interagency teams.
• Assist clients with housing search, applications, and lease-up within 30 days of referral.
• Document all client interactions in HMIS and maintain case records.
• Provide crisis response and link clients to treatment or resources as needed.
• Prepare reports and meet programmatic performance standards.
