Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI is seeking a Sleep Technician skilled in polysomnography to perform PSG, titration, MSLT and MWT studies. You will record and report data for physicians, educate patients on prescribed therapies, and assist with sleep testing as needed.

The role requires knowledge of AASM standards and the ability to work with diverse patient populations. Requires enrollment or completion of A-STEP modules, polysomnography training per CAAHEP/CoARC, and ND licensure as RRT or

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules within two years of enrollment.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed training in polysomnography in a program accredited by CAAHEP or CoARC with the polysomnography option.
• Working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed as a RRT or RPSGT.
• Obtain and maintain mandatory continuing education units (CEU) each year to maintain licensure and/or registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality diagnostic polysomnographic (PSG), titration, MSLT, and MWT tests and records data for physician use.
• Educates patients on prescribed therapies and provides follow-up as needed.
• Operates and troubleshoots sleep testing equipment and documents in the medical record per guidelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of AASM standards and accrediting requirements and applies to patient care.
• Oversees students or staff in training when required.
