Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Sleep Technician at Marsh Weston Center to perform polysomnography, titration, MSLT and MWT studies, and educate patients on prescribed therapies. This role requires knowledge of sleep disorders and comfort with testing equipment, with patient care across age groups.

Ideal candidates will have an accreditedElectroneurodiagnostic or respiratory technology program, 2+ years in sleep disorders, and the ability to obtain required credentials within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Technology or other medical specialty preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience in Sleep Disorders field preferred.
• Knowledge of sleep disorders and electrical safety; able to use computers for documentation and data gathering.
• RRT, if applicable, must obtain RPSGT or SDS credential within 2 years of starting; or be enrolled in approved programs.
• Must maintain BLS certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs PSG, titration, MSLT and MWT; records and provides data to physicians for diagnosis.
• Educates patients on prescribed therapies and follows up as needed.
• Monitors testing equipment; understands anatomy/physiology related to procedures.
• Ensures accurate documentation in medical records per guidelines.
• Oversees students/staff providing patient care as needed.
