Job Purpose:

This position will provide day-to-day support to plan Sponsors to ensure compliance with ERISA rules and regulations for the plan. Will keep Plan Sponsors, Sales Team, and Financial Advisors (FA) informed of new regulations and plan issues, oversee compliance and testing for the plans. Research issues and suggest changes to plan design as needed. Will support plan audits. Will work as part of a support team focused on exceptional client service and act as a mentor to other team members for training and support. Remote work opportunities would be considered with this role.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for completing quarterly Sponsor check-in calls for your assigned accounts.
  • Will be the primary Sponsor contact to initiate all activities for plans.
  • Process fund change letters semi-annually or as needed.
  • Communicate with Financial Advisors regarding contacts and plan changes.
  • Responsible for documenting changes that are IRS required or Ad-Hoc requests.
  • Research and problem-solve to ensure plans are compliant.
  • Review end-of-year Profit sharing calculations.
  • Act as the point of contact to ensure timely completion of items requested by Financial Advisors.
  • Lead and coordinate plan audits.
  • Mail all marketing items required to Plan Sponsor and participants based on account needs.
  • Manage the annual notice process for your book of accounts.
  • Collect annual census data from clients.
  • File required government reports such as 5500 timely.
  • Coordinate and assist Financial Advisors with participant enrollment or annual meetings.
  • Support Sales Team by completing tasks such as Plan On-Boarding, Fee Analysis, and document creation.
  • Provide backup support to other Relationship Managers as needed.
  • Complete InvestorsView Reg R reviews for assigned accounts.

Operations Duties:

  • Process manual payrolls in the system.
  • Handle deposits and special requests for Balanced Forward plans and Union accounts.
  • Perform annual Fee Tier reviews for your assigned plans.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Job Skills:

  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in a financial services environment.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and adapting these tools for support needs.
  • High accuracy in work output.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Resourceful problem-solver and proactive thinker.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially over the phone.
  • Maintain positive client and colleague experiences regardless of workload.
  • Self-motivated with effective office administration skills.
  • Basic knowledge of retirement plan technical, legal, and regulatory topics.
  • Team player.

Basis Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent work experience required.
  • Five years of experience working in a financial services environment.
