Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA (hybrid) is seeking a Section Manager to lead the RPO Futures Section within RAID, guiding multidisciplinary analyses and integrating disruptive technologies such as AI and computer vision into mission architectures.

You will shape strategic vision, engage with government customers, mentor staff, and ensure security clearances. Travel ~10% and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable STEM areas.
• Typically 8 years of applicable professional or educational experience.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead team efforts, manage projects, and develop staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence a technical organization.
• Proven ability to foster an environment where teammates collaborate across organizational lines.
• Willing to travel domestically approx. 10%.
• This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a geographically distributed team of analysts exploring and maturing emerging technologies.
• Develop relationships with Aerospace program offices and government customers to anticipate future mission needs.
• Partner with management to synthesize and execute RAID’s strategic vision.
• Conduct research to evolve organizational capabilities and mission architectures.
• Drive staff retention, recruiting, and onboarding including clearance portfolios.
• Contribute hands-on technical expertise translating customer requirements into solutions.
