Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a RPO Software Developer/Analyst (Senior Member of Technical Staff – Flight Mechanics) to join the RAID team in an in-person hybrid role in El Segundo, CA, Chantilly, VA, or Colorado Springs, CO. You’ll develop flight dynamics tools, shape software architecture, and collaborate with customers to deliver robust space mission analysis capabilities.

Ideal candidates have a MS in CS or related field, 0–1 year of industry experience, strong C++ and Python skills,

Qualifications

• MS degree in CS or related field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• 0–1 year of industry experience.
• Proficiency in C++ including software architecture, performance optimization, and algorithm development.
• Proficiency in Python including API design, module integration, and UI development.
• Experience with modern software development practices using Git-based tools in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement flight dynamics tools for a robust internal tool base.
• Design software architecture and help integrate new workflows to meet customer needs.
• Engage with software users to refine capability requirements.
• Apply AI/ML/RL techniques to flight mechanics modeling for complex trade spaces.
