48forty Solutions is seeking a Material Handler (RPC Sorter) in Hammond, LA, to hand‑sort returnable plastic containers, stack them on pallets, inspect quality, and maintain inventory records. You will support efficient production and shipping for our site operations.

The role involves hand stacking RPCs, ensuring quality standards, wrapping pallets, and accurate paperwork, with a 3rd shift Friday–Monday schedule. Apply to join a team focused on reliability and material flow.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (heat, cold, particulates).
• Capable of repetitive position changes during shifts.
• Noise level tolerance required.
• Must wear PPE (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes).
• Close, distance, and color vision required.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs occasionally (10 lbs routinely).
• 3rd shift Friday–Monday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Hammond, LA.

Responsibilities

• Hand stack RPCs on pallets to the appropriate height per inventory control instructions.
• Examine products for quality standards.
• Remove trash and debris before returning to customer.
• Wrap sorted pallets and secure for shipment.
• Move pallets or materials around the storage facility.
• Accurately complete all paperwork to track daily progress.
• Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On‑Site Manager regularly.
