Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Royalty Audit Manager (Contract Compliance) to lead royalty, licensing, participation, and contract compliance audits for clients worldwide. You will manage planning, fieldwork, analysis, reporting, and settlements, collaborating with clients, licensees, legal, finance, and internal audit teams.

The role requires strong project management, contract interpretation, financial analysis, and experience guiding audit teams across industries and regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, MIS or related field.
• 5+ years in cross-industry audit/consulting at national level.
• CPA/CISA/CISSP/CIA/CISM certification required.
• Strong data analysis, Excel and BI tool experience; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple domestic and international royalty and contract compliance audits from planning through reporting.
• Oversee third-party reviews and manage a diverse portfolio of engagements.
• Interpret licensing, distribution, content, talent, participation, merchandising, and royalty agreements; assess risks and recovery opportunities.
• Direct fieldwork and testing of sales, royalties, deductions, reserves, advances, controls and records.
• Build strong relationships with clients, licensees and internal teams; lead kickoff meetings.
• Utilize data analytics to identify anomalies and develop dashboards and metrics.
• Prepare reports and executive summaries for c‑suite stakeholders.
• Supervise staff, coach juniors, and drive continuous improvement.
