Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions in Queens is seeking a detail-oriented Royalty Analyst to join the Publishing Department. The role supports accurate processing, analysis, and reporting of artist and music royalties.

Ideal candidate has direct royalty accounting experience, strong knowledge of royalty statements, contract provisions, reconciliations, and royalty administration processes; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with royalty systems such as Vistex Music Maestro preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of royalty accounting/royalty administration experience.
• Strong understanding of royalty calculations, royalty statements, contract interpretation, and reconciliations.
• Experience with royalty and accounting systems; Vistex Music Maestro experience is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large volumes of financial data.

Job description

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Royalty Analyst to join a growing Publishing Department in Queens. This newly created position will support the accurate processing, analysis, and reporting of artist and music royalties. The ideal candidate will have direct royalty accounting experience and a strong understanding of royalty statements, contractual royalty provisions, reconciliations, and royalty administration processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and process royalty statements and related financial data.
• Calculate and reconcile royalties in accordance with artist, publishing, and other applicable agreements.
• Research and resolve royalty discrepancies, payment issues, and account variances.
• Review royalty contract provisions to ensure accurate royalty calculations and payments.
• Assist with royalty reporting, royalty runs, audits, and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of royalty accounting or royalty administration experience, preferably within music, publishing, entertainment, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of royalty calculations, royalty statements, contract interpretation, and reconciliations.
• Experience with royalty and accounting systems; Vistex Music Maestro experience is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manage large volumes of financial data.
• Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and deadline management skills.

Salary

$65,000 - $75,000 annually, plus year-end bonus eligibility after the first year of employment.
