Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a ROW (Right-of-Way) Specialist in Mitchell, SD or Sioux Falls to secure and manage telecommunications permitting. You will research jurisdictions, prepare and submit permits, and liaise with railroads, DOT, and city/county/township authorities, ensuring compliance and timely project progress.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organization, with proficiency in MS Office and a willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify appropriate public jurisdictions for permitting, using public records and databases.
• Prepare, submit, and secure required permits from railroad, DOT, city, county, and township entities.
• Serve as a liaison between internal departments, clients, and permitting agencies to facilitate permitting processes.
• Track the progress of internal deliverables required for permit applications.
• Identify and escalate permitting delays or issues to the ROW Department Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate project documentation related to permitting activities.
• Submit weekly progress reports and timecards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
