Job summary
The Texas Department of Transportation's Right of Way Division (ROW) seeks a passionate ROW GIS Analyst to grow ROW GIS data and applications for customers ranging from field staff to executive leadership. You will create maps, automate GIS processes, and lead statewide projects while training staff and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
There is an optional path to become a Registered Professional Land Surveyor and/or a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional, with a culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems or related field with substitutions allowed year-for-year.
- Valid driver's license; ability to drive a state vehicle.
- Experience or familiarity with GIS data development, analysis and cartography.
Responsibilities
- Performs GIS data development, integration and analysis, produces maps and graphics.
- Extracts, analyzes and reports data; provides technical assistance for transportation projects.
- Develops and coordinates training curriculums and/or trains technical staff.
- Maintains GIS databases and cartographic products using the ESRI suite.
- Supports change management and coordinates with diverse stakeholders.
