Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Houston is seeking a data analyst to work closely with senior leadership on land, ROW, and energy infrastructure projects. You will manage data imports/exports, track milestones, and ensure data quality across cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with data-heavy systems, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Collaboration with project managers, ROW agents, and tech teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with data-heavy systems or project management platforms in energy/utilities/infrastructure.
• Structured data handling and reporting requirements experience.
• Strong Excel skills: formulas, pivot tables, Power Query; VBA is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience supporting end users or clients in a technical/operational capacity.
• Experience with SOPs, training materials, or technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support land, ROW, and energy infra projects with senior leadership.
• Assist with project setup, imports/exports, and milestone tracking.
• Coordinate with ROW agents, title teams, PMs, and technology teams to ensure data flow.
• Translate operational requirements into technical solutions and system specs.
• Develop test plans and support UAT; manage requirements and traceability.
• Create functional/non-functional requirement documents and user stories.
• Assist in process analysis and BPMN/flowchart mapping for improvements.
• Prepare presentations and project status reports for stakeholders.
