Job summary

LJB Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Mid-level Right-of-Way Engineer with 4 to 10 years of experience to join our growing team.

You will lead ROW plan development, boundary analysis, and title research while coordinating with project managers, utilities, and public agencies to advance transportation projects. The role requires a Civil Engineering or Surveying background, a current Ohio Professional Surveyor license, and ROW/ODOT expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying and Ohio PS licensure.
• ODOT ROW prequalification preferred; 4+ years in ROW engineering/surveying.
• Strong knowledge of Ohio ROW procedures and boundary practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead ROW plans, plats, legal descriptions, and exhibits per ODOT/locals.
• Coordinate boundary analysis, title research, and property issues.
• Provide engineering oversight for ROW-related design elements.
• Sign and seal documents in line with Ohio engineering rules.
• Mentor survey and ROW staff; collaborate with clients and agencies.
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and client proposals.
