Woolpert is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Ohio. You’ll work on diverse roadway and multimodal projects across multiple states, delivering design solutions that meet local and federal standards.

Proficiency in Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer is required, with four+ years of experience and PE eligibility in Ohio or the ability to obtain within one year. You will collaborate with a diverse design team, support proposal development, and manage scope, schedule, and

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related technical design field.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience preferred.
• Licensed PE in Ohio, or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• Experience in Roadway, Highway, Trail, Bikeway/Pedestrian and/or Roadway Drainage design.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or Microstation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
• Experience with ODOT projects is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to successfully manage multiple priorities.
• Committed to team efforts and willing to act independently.
• Good communication skills, including oral and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead design or help design complex roadway and transportation projects.
• Prepare preliminary/final design documents, cost estimates and bid documents.
• Use local and federal roadway standards for design documents.
• Perform designs using Civil 3D/OpenRoads/AutoCAD.
• Assist Project Managers in writing proposals, scope, schedule and budget.
