Job Description

Role Classification: Part-time Non-Exempt, Seasonal

Become a Row 7 Cook and showcase your culinary skills and dedication to deliciousness. As part of our Culinary Team, you'll introduce Row 7’s unique plant and vegetable varieties to market shoppers, creating distinctive tastes through demonstrations. A background in culinary, hospitality, or agriculture is preferred. Join us in revolutionizing the seed-to-retail supply chain, where innovation meets flavor.

REPORTS TO: Regional Coordinator

Locations and Work Schedule
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region
  • Timeline: mid-June - November
  • Days and Hours: Saturdays, Sundays, and occasional Mondays, approximately 8-hour shifts
Role Responsibilities
  • Inspire and educate shoppers about Row 7 and its vegetables
  • Prepare, cook, and serve tastings, ensuring culinary excellence
  • Engage with shoppers on how to prepare vegetables at home
  • Set up and maintain demonstration displays
  • Collaborate with retail partners for supply and replenishment
  • Maintain culinary kits and inventory
  • Share and develop understanding of the Row 7 Culinary Team Curriculum
  • Follow food safety practices
Ideal Candidate
  • Eager to share information with enthusiasm
  • 1+ year of culinary, front-of-house, or agricultural experience (encouraged but not required)
  • Comfortable with knives and utensils or willing to learn
  • Passionate about food and sustainability
  • Organized, punctual, professional
  • 18 years or older
  • Dependable in traveling within the region
Details
  • Part-time, seasonal, non-exempt position
  • Pay range: $32 - $35/hour based on experience
  • Weekly schedule: weekends and/or Mondays
  • Average shift: 8 hours
