Job summary

The Sioux Falls School District is seeking a reliable Roving Substitute Custodian to help keep multiple school sites clean and safe for students and staff. Qualifications

• Ability to drive to multiple locations during a work shift.
• Good physical health with ability to lift 75 pounds and climb to high places.
• Ability to communicate written and oral
• Willingness to follow instructions and training.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dusts, cleans and arranges classrooms and facilities.
• Operates basic systems (heating, A/C, electrical, mechanical) and reports repairs.
• Maintains lawns, sidewalks, and playgrounds; handles snow/ice removal.
• Sets up and tears down for school activities.
• Operates security systems; secures building after shift.
• Substitutes for other custodial staff across schedules.
• Participates in holiday, extended day and weekend activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
