United Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking a Roving Scale Operator to weigh trucks at quarry sites and print sales tickets. You will enter data for computation and recordkeeping, ensuring daily dispatch alignment and timely report generation.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to work independently within a team, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Excellent attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in aggregate, asphalt, or construction preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to work independently within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a truck scale indicator and weigh trucks accurately.
• Solicit information from drivers professionally.
• Enter data into computer software and generate sales tickets with speed and accuracy.
• Verify outgoing trucks are on daily dispatch prior to generating sales tickets.
• Communicate with the bucket truck operator using a 2-way radio.
• Generate daily transaction reports and email to the office.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the scale house and related areas.
• Cover more than one scale house when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
