Job summary

Fairgrove Property Management seeks a Maintenance Technician to service rental properties across the San Diego area. You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, and perform preventative maintenance to keep units in top condition.

The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, technically skilled, reliable, and able to manage multiple properties with effective communication and timely responses, including after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field with customer service.
• Strong knowledge of computers and cloud-based software and applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Great communication skills.
• Organized and able to manage work orders for multiple priorities.
• Clean driving record with valid driver’s license.
• Provide own tools to complete work orders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on the properties or within the units.
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, door hardware, windows, window screens, and other general building items.
• Maintain accurate record of daily maintenance records and action items.
• Interact with vendors and suppliers in a professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service to the team and residents.
• Turnover make ready tasks and assist in preparing vacant units for new move-ins.
• After hours emergency response as needed.
