We are seeking a dependable, self-led Roving Maintenance Technician to support our properties throughout Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Colonial Beach.

This position will primarily support our multifamily division but may also assist other properties and companies within our organization as needs overlap. The right candidate is resourceful, comfortable working independently, and able to manage changing priorities without constant supervision.

We are seeking a dependable, self-led Roving Maintenance Technician to support our properties throughout Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Colonial Beach.

This position will primarily support our multifamily division but may also assist other properties and companies within our organization as needs overlap. The right candidate is resourceful, comfortable working independently, and able to manage changing priorities without constant supervision.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities may include:

• General maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
• Apartment turns and make-ready work
• Basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and fixture repairs
• Preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Weekly lawn care and grounds maintenance
• Common-area cleaning and upkeep
• Exterior repairs and improvement projects
• Responding to and documenting work orders
• Identifying maintenance concerns and recommending solutions
• Supporting projects across Richmond, Fredericksburg, Colonial Beach, and surrounding properties

This is a hands-on role where priorities can change from day to day. We need someone who notices what needs to be done, takes ownership, and follows through.

What We're Looking For

• Previous residential, multifamily, facilities, construction, or similar maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your daily workload
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable with changing priorities
• Professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Must be insurable under the company's automobile insurance policy
• Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with property maintenance
• HVAC certification preferred; certified technicians receive an additional $1.00/hour differential

Schedule & On-Call

This position is the primary maintenance contact for the assigned portfolio and requires ongoing on-call availability outside of normal working hours for urgent maintenance needs.

Because of that responsibility, schedule flexibility is an important part of the role. We work to adjust normal working schedules as needed so team members receive appropriate time off while maintaining coverage for the portfolio.

Compensation

$25.00–$29.00 per hour, depending on experience

HVAC-certified technicians receive an additional $1.00/hour .

A company vehicle is provided for business use and travel between assigned properties.
