Job summary

Venterra Realty in Houston is seeking a Roving Neighborhood Services Technician to prepare vacant apartments by performing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring features work per the Total Quality Make Ready program.

The role involves intermediate level plumbing, electrical, appliance and HVAC tasks, supporting the maintenance team, and traveling daily within a 25-mile radius to assigned communities. EPA certification preferred, on-call rotation possible.

Qualifications

• EPA certification preferred.
• Prior make-ready or maintenance experience required or preferred.
• Venterra certification of intermediate level plumbing, electrical, appliance and HVAC skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple unit turns efficiently.
• Clean motor vehicle record and flexible on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features are in working order per the TQMR program.
• Perform intermediate maintenance tasks including light fixture replacements, minor plumbing, appliance checks, HVAC PM and drywall patching.
• Assist with painting, carpet cleaning, and exterior touch-ups to meet market-ready standards.
• Maintain inventory, report supply needs, and support the maintenance team with work orders and groundskeeping as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of the property, including grounds, parking lots, breezeways, amenities, and common areas.
• Work independently while following company standards and maintain a commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Travel daily to assigned communities within a 25-mile radius.
