Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical quality inspection experience (machining/welding)
• Hands-on optical comparator experience required (minimum 3 years)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical metrology and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T specifications

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process mechanical inspections on precision-machined and welded components
• Use optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, gauges and other instruments to verify dimensional accuracy
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, specs and GD&T requirements
• Document inspection findings and communicate nonconforming conditions clearly and accurately
