Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Routing Specialist to support our Continuous Improvement culture by daily route planning and optimization for dedicated customers across the Ryder network. You will use routing software to produce executable routes for execution by the Ryder operating team in a timely manner.

The role interfaces with operating teams nationwide and partners with engineering to deliver reliable, optimized routing solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (or related).
• 0 to 1 year in related work experience in Transportation or Supply Chain.
• 0 to 1 year in Transportation Experience (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio (Beginner).
• Knowledge of data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) (Beginner).
• Lean core tools/processes (e.g. 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management) (Beginner).

Responsibilities

• Performs daily route planning for operating teams using routing software.
• Monitor electronic processing of order files and routing data.
• Produce optimal, executable, multi-stop routes for 1+ customers within defined time.
• Manage CI projects from start to sustained results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
