Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Routing Specialist to support continuous improvement efforts by planning and optimizing routes for dedicated customers across the Ryder network. You will work with operating teams to create efficient, executable routes using routing software and automated processes.

This role interfaces with teams nationwide and aligns with Engineering and Operations leadership. Prior CI experience is welcomed, with a focus on timely, accurate routing and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (or related) is required.
• 0 to 1 year in Transportation or Supply Chain Industry is required.
• 0 to 1 year in Transportation Experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio. Beginner level required.
• Knowledge of data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and SQL/DAX is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Lean core tools (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, problem solving) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily route planning for operating teams using automated processes and software.
• Monitor electronic processing of order files and routing data.
• Produce optimal, executable, multi-stop routes within defined time periods.
• Manage route planning sessions across multiple locations for one or more customers.
