Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Routing Specialist to support the Continuous Improvement culture with daily route planning and optimization for dedicated customers across the Ryder network.

You will produce executable, multi-stop routes using routing software and coordinate with operating teams to ensure timely execution. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain, and 0–1 year in related transportation or supply chain work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (or in related discipline) is required.
• 0 to 1 year in Transportation or Supply Chain industry is required.
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio is required.
• Knowledge of data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Lean core tools/processes (e.g. 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, problem solving) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily route planning for operating teams using automated processes and routing software.
• Monitor electronic processing of order files and route data back to operating teams.
• Produce optimal, executable, multi-stop routes for 1+ customers within defined time frames.
• Coordinate with multiple sessions and locations for multiple customers.
