Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Logistics Analyst to coordinate drivers, trucks and containers and maximize routing efficiency across our service network. You will analyze daily routes, respond to real-time changes, ensure on-time pickups and drive continuous improvement in route design and customer experience.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, comfort with fast-paced environments, and prior dispatcher/leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Skillful with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to understand and execute time-sensitive tasks.
• Experience in a customer-facing position.
• Two years of prior experience working in a Dispatcher or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee drivers, trucks, and containers to maximize productivity.
• Analyze daily route information and implement changes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Respond to same day changes and plan for next day service needs.
• Ensure routes are closed on time by verifying data and ensuring durable close processes.
• Evaluate and resolve problems that occur while trucks and drivers are in transit.
• Proactively manage driver safety and security of assets.
• Collect, interpret, and analyze logistics data to improve routing decisions.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers to monitor progress.
• Evaluate driver performance issues and work toward resolution.
• Understand route sequencing and manage missed pickups with customers.
• Create routes with maximal capacity and review loads per driver per day.
• Monitor routing activities and identify swing routes and opportunities.
• Analyze swing percentage trends to identify improvements.
• Adapt plans today and tomorrow as needed.
• Understand disposal plans to identify optimal disposal sites.
• Meet with Operations Manager to discuss disposal plans and changes.
• Determine if service requests can be pulled forward to improve efficiency.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
