Performance Foodservice is seeking a Router to design and manage delivery routes, coordinate with drivers and operations, and ensure efficient, compliant routing. The role requires attention to detail and experience with routing software and MS Office.
The position typically follows a Sunday through Thursday schedule, with responsibilities across routing data management and collaboration with transportation, warehouse, and customer service teams.
Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers - providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.
The Router position is an individual contributor role responsible for creating routes, managing routes, calculating delivery routes, times of deliveries and makes the necessary adjustments for drivers and customers. The Router role reports to the Transportation Delivery Director or Routing Supervisor and normally works a Sunday through Thursday shift. The Router role works with numerous routing and software systems. The Router role requires strong attention to detail and process skills. The Router may interact with drivers, sales, transportation, truck building ,warehouse and customer service personnel at management discretion. The Router functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company.

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
1-3 years foodservice distribution, logistics, transportation or related work experience in routing or truck building
Basic/Intermediate computer skills including various software applications and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
3 - 5 years distribution, logistics, transportation routing and/or related administrative experience in truck building or routing.
Intermediate/Advanced computer skills including routing software applications (Roadnet, AS400) and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
