Performance Foodservice seeks a Router to create and manage delivery routes, optimize times for drivers, and coordinate with drivers and support staff. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficient routing using Roadnet and various systems.
The position reports to the Transportation Delivery Director or Routing Supervisor and typically follows a Sunday–Thursday shift, requiring strong attention to detail and teamwork across transportation, warehouse, and customer service.
Day/Hours: Sunday-Thursday; 1pm until routing completed. We Deliver the Goods:
The Router position is an individual contributor role responsible for creating routes, managing routes, calculating delivery routes, times of deliveries and makes the necessary adjustments for drivers and customers. The Router role reports to the Transportation Delivery Director or Routing Supervisor and normally works a Sunday through Thursday shift. The Router role works with numerous routing and software systems. The Router role requires strong attention to detail and process skills. The Router may interact with drivers, sales, transportation, truck building ,warehouse and customer service personnel at management discretion. The Router functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company.
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
1-3 years foodservice distribution, logistics, transportation or related work experience in routing or truck building
Basic/Intermediate computer skills including various software applications and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
$25-30/hr. ,based on experience
