Job summary

Performance Foodservice seeks a Router to create and manage delivery routes, optimize times for drivers, and coordinate with drivers and support staff. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficient routing using Roadnet and various systems.

The position reports to the Transportation Delivery Director or Routing Supervisor and typically follows a Sunday–Thursday shift, requiring strong attention to detail and teamwork across transportation, warehouse, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years in foodservice distribution, logistics, transportation, routing, or truck building.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills including MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Establish delivery routes that are cost effective and DOT compliant while maintaining customer service and satisfaction.
• Create and maintain routing procedures and schedules for efficient use of personnel and equipment.
• Perform Roadnet routing maintenance daily to ensure accurate, timely data (routes, geocoding, time windows, start times, etc.).
• Provide costing, off-days, maintenance, scorecard, and KPI reporting on a schedule.
• Recap previous days' routing results and adjust standard routes as needed.
• Create maps and driving instructions for drivers unfamiliar with routes.
• Produce and distribute nightly driver manifests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
