Johnson Controls in Springfield, MO is seeking a field service assistant to perform servicing, repair, and testing of fire extinguishers and related equipment. You will assist technicians, handle deliveries, and help maintain stock and the shop area.

A High School Diploma or equivalent and a pre-employment background check are required. This hourly role offers competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities for on-the-job training, safety-focused practices, and a collaborative team environment

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers.
• Perform hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses.
• Assist on-road technicians with various required tasks.
• Perform deliveries/pickups at customer locations and suppliers as needed.
• Pick orders to prepare for shipping and receive stock in designated areas.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and repair service equipment as required.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers.

• Perform hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses.
• Assist on-road technicians with a various assortment of required work.
• Perform deliveries/pickup at customer locations and suppliers where required.
• Picking orders to prepare for shipping.
• Receive and put stock away in designated areas.
• Maintain general cleanliness throughout the shop and work area.
• Repair service equipment where required.

What we look for

Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

Preferred

• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to adhere to and always follow safety guidelines and procedures
• Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly

Salary

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $16.44 - 22.59 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
